Many of our members join classes straight from work, thanks to our convenient location on the Northern Line, Victoria Line, Vauxhall and Battersea Park train stations, making it easy to fit dance into a busy schedule.

GROUP CLASSES

Join our Ballroom & Latin, American Smooth & Rhythm and Salsa & Bachata dance classes from complete beginners to advanced dancers and competitors. Individuals or couples are welcome! Classes run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. To find out more about each level, click on the level you are interested in at the bottom of this page. We pride our team of experienced professional dance instructors for the titles achieved in their dance careers and for the number of happy students each of them taught and continues to teach every day!!

Ballroom & Latin Class Structure

At Flow, we rotate between one Standard Ballroom and one Latin Ballroom style every 3 weeks. Each day of group classes focuses on different dances, ensuring a wide range of styles within each rotation. This setup guarantees continuous improvement and variety week to week. While most Flow members attend all 4 group class days, even if you can only join one day, you’ll still experience the continuity and progression of this class structure.

American Smooth & Rhythm

These dance styles are growing in popularity across the UK. At Flow Dance, we offer them on demand through private lessons and regular workshops. For detailed descriptions of each individual dance style, visit our Types of Dance page.

Available Levels

We have 6 different levels available for you: Beginners, Improvers, Upper-Improvers, Intermediate, Advanced and Competitors. To find out about pricing options visit our Price Options page. We take one Ballroom & one Latin dance every 3 weeks, accepting newcomers on every 1st week of each dance rotation.

For guidance only: to complete each level we require the attendance of 36 group classes at each respective level. We hold assessment days twice a year followed by Graduation Balls, where we award each member with their respective level certificate. All of this in very relaxed and festive manner, creating fantastic memories for our members at Flow Family.

Some members prefer to improve quicker and in specific dances they like the most through taking Private Lessons. This path is tailored specifically for each client and assessment is based on individual level, with graduation awards presented on Medal Balls also twice a year.

Rule of attendance: Beginners, Improvers & Upper-Improvers can only observe higher levels classes. All higher levels students can participate in all levels classes.

When – Mondays & Wednesdays 6:15pm, Saturdays 11:45am, Sundays 3pm. Choose to attend any day at your convenience or all the classes to learn quicker by practicing.

Is it for you – This class is designed for absolute beginners, so be brave and join now! Individuals and couples are welcome. Flexible attendance.

Dances – Cha Cha Cha, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Social Foxtrot, Jive

Class Description – We take 2 dances every 3 weeks spending 20min on a Ballroom and 20min on a Latin dance each time. Week 1 – learn the rhythms and basics, week 2 – revise and learn new steps, week 3 – revise and practice. Over a period of 9 weeks you will learn the basics of 6 Ballroom & Latin dances and acquire the most important couple dancing skills of leading and following. Our friendly and professional teachers are fully qualified and have tons of experience to make sure you feel comfortable from lesson one. We can guarantee that you will be dancing gracefully by the end of this program!

When – Mondays & Wednesdays 7pm, Saturdays 12:30pm, Sundays 3:45pm. Choose to attend any day at your convenience or all the classes to learn quicker by practicing.

Is it for you – This level is for you, if you are confident enough with basic steps in Ballroom and Latin dances and feel comfy in your dance shoes by now ready to impress your friends, YES! This will get you moving in harmony with the music and around the floor. Individuals and couples are welcome. Flexible attendance.

Dances – Cha Cha Cha, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Social Foxtrot, Jive

Class Description – We take 2 dances every 3 weeks spending 20min on a Ballroom and 20min on a Latin dance each time. Week 1 – learn the rhythms and basics, week 2 – revise and learn new steps, week 3 – revise and practice. Over a period of 9 weeks you’ll learn many new Ballroom and Latin steps and be able to perform more complex routines in 6 dances.

When – Mondays & Wednesdays 7:45pm. Choose to attend any day at your convenience or both classes to learn quicker by practicing.

Is it for you – Ideal for those who have completed Beginners and Improvers and would like to take their dancing to the next level by learning slightly more advanced choreography and dance technique. Whilst learning more about the various Ballroom and Latin Dances you are starting to focus more on connection, technique and musicality.

Dances – Cha Cha Cha, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Samba, Foxtrot, Jive, Quickstep!

Class Description – We take 2 dances every 3 weeks spending 20min on a Ballroom and 20min on a Latin dance each time. Week 1 – learn the rhythms and basics, week 2 – revise and learn new steps, week 3 – revise and practice. Over a period of 12 weeks you’ll develop a Bronze choreography in 8 Ballroom and Latin dances.

When – Wednesdays 8:30pm, Sundays 5:15pm. Choose to attend any day at your convenience or all the classes to learn quicker by practicing.

Is it for you – Another step closer to glide across the dance floor like a Pro. This dance course offers more than just dance steps and variations. Focused on developing the technique of Ballroom and Latin dances, giving you more confidence when you get on the dance floor.

Dances – Cha Cha Cha, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Samba, Foxtrot, Jive, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz & Paso Doble!

Class Description – We take 2 dances every 3 weeks spending 20min on a Ballroom and 20min on a Latin dance each time. Week 1 – learn the rhythms and basics, week 2 – revise and learn new steps, week 3 – revise and practice. Over a period of 15 weeks you’ll develop a Silver level choreography in 10 Ballroom and Latin dances.

When – Mondays 8:30pm, Saturdays 1:15pm. Choose to attend any day at your convenience or all the classes to learn quicker by practicing.

Is it for you – Another step closer to glide across the dance floor like a Pro. This dance course offers more than just dance variations. Focused on developing the technique of all Ballroom and Latin dances, giving all the confidence you need in the dance floor.

Dances – Cha Cha Cha, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Samba, Foxtrot, Jive, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz & Paso Doble!

Class Description – We take 2 dances every 3 weeks spending 20min on a Ballroom and 20min on a Latin dance each time. Week 1 – learn the rhythms and basics, week 2 – revise and learn new steps, week 3 – revise and practice. Over a period of 15 weeks you’ll develop a Gold level choreography in 10 Ballroom and Latin dances.

This class is called ADVANCED LATIN TECHNIQUE on our schedule.

When – Mondays 9:15-10:15pm (Advanced Latin Technique); Wednesdays 9:15-10:15pm (Advanced Ballroom Technique); Saturdays 2-3pm (Advanced Ballroom & Latin Technique). Choose to attend any day at your convenience or all the classes to learn quicker by practicing.

Is it for you – This level is for you if you want to take your dancing to competitions with other colleagues in the same age and level category. We will assess your dance skills on the first class to see if you are ready to join.

Dances – Mondays – All Latin-American dances; Wednesdays – All Ballroom dances; Saturdays – All Ballroom & Latin and American dances.

Class Description – Each class will consist of a very high level and deep understanding of the mechanics and technique of competitive Latin American dancing. We will focus on 1 dance per month. No partner required.
